Description

Ador has opened its Ethnological Museum, which aims to be a place of conservation, research and dissemination of our local cultural heritage. An instrument of promotion of our artists and those who want to show us their work, and also a space for educational activities aimed at the whole town and especially the school public.

The emblematic building that accompanied in its time, for several decades, the old Town Hall and other school buildings, is located in the old part of the town. Its colorful stone facade is a symbol of all cultural promotions that are disseminated through posters and other media. It has a very cushioned environment at the expense of a landscaped, air-conditioned square.

Two sales areas effectively house tools and objects of all kinds provided by the owner, which, conveniently selected and grouped for use in daily tasks in the street and in the field, completely occupy the permanent exhibition space. The presence of elements used in beekeeping has a special importance because it is an economic sector of strong roots from the sixteenth century, to the point of being Ador the second largest producer of honey in the region during the period of 1944.

On the other hand, the area was destined to temporary or itinerant exhibitions, of any artistic or cultural manifestation of which we have already enjoyed recently since its inauguration, will play an important role in future exhibitions planned as a result of a framework agreement on museum matters signed with the Diputación de Valencia with what means of contribution and transfer of fish, exchange of exhibitions, advice, etc..
