Description

This sculpture is located at the entrance to Alzira, in the roundabout that connects with the CV-43 and presides over the entrance to the Tulell Sector. Its height is 26 meters, which is equivalent to a 10-story building and it weighs 10,000 kilos.

It has been designed by the artist José Manuel Martín Cortés, who has emulated a growing, expanding plant. It is composed of a single element, a central tube that grows and from which three leaves emerge. The entire sculpture is made of “corten plate”, a type of steel that rusts and acquires a reddish color.

The roundabout that surrounds it is covered with grass and illuminated by a special system for high-rise elements.

The sculpture was made in a metallurgical workshop in Mataró, Curvados Roig, and has been installed in our city since March 2007.
