This house was built in the first decade of the 20th century, approximately in 1910, by the Peris family, the same that ordered the construction of the Cotonera. It was used as a summer residence for the Bernat Peris Puig family. At that time it was very common for wealthy families from Alzira to spend their summers in this traditional Alzirean neighborhood.

It is a property of high ethnological value, it is protected and is a mixture of rural and urban architecture. It has a main body of two floors and a tower of three.

In March 1965 the well-known nursery school “Jardín de Infancia Mater” was established in this building.

In 1983 the City Council acquired this building for municipal offices after a profound reform that was carried out between 2005 and 2008. Students from the workshops of the House of Trades participated in its reform. Municipal property, it was inaugurated on May 26, 2010.
