Description

Built in 1935 on the site of the old building from the end of the 18th century. The façade is notable for its neo-Gothic style, with a door and semicircular window lined up and crowned by a bell tower. The interior houses the image of the town's co-patron saint, El Cristo de la Buena Muerte (Christ of the Good Death). It is a beautiful wooden sculptural image from 1941, which has its feast day in September, with its spectacular and unique procession in which the rocket shooters take part.

The original building was replaced in the 19th century by a second neo-Gothic chapel, designed to preside over the Calvary or Way of the Cross. With a donation from a lady (Concha Escobedo) who used to frequent the baths of the spa, she left a sum of money in her will to enlarge the second chapel. The work was finished in 1935, taking advantage of some of the walls and adjusting to the neo-Gothic style of the original building.
