Description

It is a rectangular tower measuring 6.75 x 11.80 metres on each side and 22.20 metres in height. The entrance gate is located on the south side, while on the north side there was an attached house. In front of the gate is a moat that reveals the sloping walls of the tower.
It is divided into five floors, one of which is underground and is made of mortar with a reed roof. In the southwest corner there is a sloping gallery or corridor through which one can access a circular well made of brick. The ground floor, at ground level, leads to both the basement and the upper floors via a spiral staircase in the southwest corner. The first two floors are divided into two rectangular rooms, one of which is very narrow, adapting to the width of the spiral staircase to give a regular shape to the other, larger room. The first floor features a Pompeian-style coffered ceiling between wooden beams. On the first floor, which is accessed through a mixtilinear arch, there was once a kitchen in its small room. The third floor has two rooms, but they are larger due to the thinner walls. The terrace, like a belt of machicolations, is covered with a four-sloped wooden roof, and has 12 windows, four on the larger façades and two on the smaller sides.
On all floors the floor is made of brick combined with ceramic tiles from Manises called "escarabet".
It is built with stone ashlars on the south façade and in the corners combined with brick; on the north façade and in the basement there is mortar. Tombstones from different periods, such as Roman and Hebrew (probably from the 13th century Jewish cemetery of Morvedre), were also used in its construction.
Along the length of the tower there are a series of loopholes and windows in different shapes. On one side there are rectangular loopholes, and also circular loopholes crowned by a cross. There are also rectangular openings with grilles. On the upper part, below the rectangular-shaped windows of the terrace, there are circular loopholes with a cross on top.
The style of the tower is Renaissance with Italian Tuscan influences.
