Description

La Barraca de Nácher is located in the village of Beniparell and was built in the 20th century. As for its history, no reference to its origins has been found, but it probably dates back to the 20th century. According to Maria Josep Fortea, the last barracas of Beniparrell were destroyed by the flood of 1957 and only this one, owned by Antonio Nàcher, has survived. It has now been included in the catalogue of protections of the General Urban Development Plan and is proposed for use as an Interpretation Centre of l'Horta.

The hut is located in an area that is still an orchard in the west of the urban area of Beniparrell, surrounded by crops, although with an attached building of very poor quality and another body at the back. The building has a rectangular ground plan, with dimensions of 16.9 m in length and 5.8 m in width, and a surface area of approximately 96 m². It retains the usual exterior morphology, although the main façade has changed the door for a double-leaf door, but retains the vertical window next to it, with a grille. As for the platform, the window has been bricked up but can still be identified. The exterior is plastered and whitewashed with paint. The original borró roof has been replaced by the usual fibre cement panels.
