It has a peculiar layout of streets, in the purest Arab style, with ups and downs, stairs, revolts, squares, alleys. A walk through the steep streets, which is convenient to do with the right footwear, will discover places of great beauty. Fountains and flower pots mark the entire walk, which can take us to one of the three hermitages of the old town: Sant Joan, Mare de Déu dels Desemparats and Mare de Déu d’Agost. In the highest part of the old town is located the parish church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción and its museum, and going down to the square of Sant Vicent, is the Museum of Trades and Customs, with an old loom, in perfect operation.
Cuenta con un peculiar trazado de calles, al más puro estilo árabe, con subidas y bajadas, escaleras, revueltas, plazoletas, callejones. Un paseo por las empinadas calles, que es conveniente realizar con el calzado adecuado, nos descubrirá rincones de gran belleza. Fuentes y macetas con flores marcan toda la paseo, que nos puede llevar a alguna de las tres ermitas del casco antiguo: Sant Joan, Mare de Déu dels Desemparats y Mare de Déu d’Agost. En la parte más alta del casco antiguo está ubicada la iglesia parroquial de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción y su museo, y bajando hacia la placeta de Sant Vicent, está ubicado el Museo de Oficios y Costumbres, con un telar antiguo, en perfecto funcionamiento.
