Description

Hermitage of popular style, of a nave, with pilasters, semicircular arches and barrel vault, covered with a large gable roof. The lateral walls are very low, with a thick wooden beam between them. Above the entrance, there is a central belfry without a finial at the apex of the pediment. The door is linteled, with bullnose nails at the base and a small window above.

The floor plan is rectangular, with a roof of beams and boards. It has masonry benches attached to the wall.
In a niche at the front, there is a polychrome plaster image of St. Joseph.

The sacristy is attached to the right side, towards the head of the church, with a soffit ceiling.
The primitive hermitage dates from the XVII century (from 1579 according to other authors) and was sacked in 1706.

There was a previous chapel, hermitage or church. Towards 1775 its tower was built, in ashlar masonry of autochthonous quarry, and the church was rebuilt. Rebuilt again in 1950, it passed to the archdiocese of Valencia on May 6, 1957.
