Fiestas patronales de Cullera (Cullera)

Cullera's patron saint festivities are dedicated to the Mare de Déu del Castell, Virgin of the Incarnation and Patron Saint of Cullera, popularly known as “La Moreneta”. They begin on the Saturday after Easter and are celebrated until the Sunday of the following week. They are nine days of intense activity in Cullera.
Acts during the festivities of Cullera: On the first day of the Cullera Major Festivities, Saturday, the traditional "Baixà" takes place, in which the image of the Virgin is lowered from the hermitage of the castle in a night procession along the Calvario road to the church of Santos Juanes . When the image arrives at the Market, the town of Cullera welcomes it with a grandiose fireworks display. But the most representative act of the festivities of Cullera, and undoubtedly the most emotional, takes place on the "Night of Dawn" when at dawn on Sunday the sailors and fishermen move the image of the Virgin from the Church of the Saints. Juanes to the beach of San Antonio, where they walk her on their shoulders along the seashore with the prayer of the Rosary as an accompaniment. This beautiful representation attracts thousands of visitors every year. These are moments of great intensity since the boats that have anchored in front of the beach, adorned with colored lights, fire their salutes to receive the Virgin. The procession ends with the Campaign Mass and a large fireworks display. The day of San Vicente is celebrated in Cullera, at dawn, the Rosario de la Aurora del Raval, in which the image of the Virgin of the Castle of Cullera is strolled through the streets while fireworks are fired. And at night, it is time for the General Procession through the old town of Cullera. In the following days there are processions, concerts and musical performances, the National Contest of Civil Music Bands "Ciudad de Cullera" and other shows such as heifers, the Great Parade of Costumes and cultural events among others. The patron saint festivities of Cullera culminate with the processional ascent of the image of the Virgen del Castillo to the Sanctuary of her, after which a fireworks display is fired that puts the end of the celebration.

Las fiestas patronales de Cullera están dedicadas a la Mare de Déu del Castell, Virgen de la Encarnación y Patrona de Cullera, popularmente conocida como “La Moreneta”. Empiezan el sábado después de Pascua y se celebran hasta el domingo de la semana siguiente. Son nueve días de intensa actividad en Cullera.
Actos durante las fiestas patronales de Cullera: El primer día de las Fiestas Mayores de Cullera, sábado, tiene lugar la tradicional “Baixà”, en la que la imagen de la Virgen es bajada desde la ermita del castillo en procesión nocturna por el camino del Calvario hasta la iglesia de los Santos Juanes. Cuando la imagen llega al Mercado, el pueblo de Cullera la recibe con un grandioso Castillo de fuegos artificiales. Pero el acto más representativo de las fiestas patronales de Cullera, y sin duda el más emotivo, tiene lugar la “Noche de la Aurora” cuando en la madrugada del domingo los marineros y pescadores trasladan la imagen de la Virgen desde la iglesia de los Santos Juanes hasta la playa de San Antonio, donde la pasean a hombros por la orilla del mar con el rezo del Rosario como acompañamiento. Esta bella representación atrae cada año a miles de visitantes. Son momentos de gran intensidad ya que las barcas que han fondeado frente a la playa, engalanadas con luces de colores, disparan sus salvas para recibir a la Virgen. La procesión finaliza con la Misa de Campaña y un gran castillo de fuegos artificiales. El día de San Vicente se celebra en Cullera, al amanecer, el Rosario de la Aurora del Raval, en el que se pasea a la imagen de la Virgen del Castillo de Cullera por las calles mientras se disparan fuegos artificiales. Y por la noche, llega el momento de la Procesión General por el casco antiguo de Cullera. En los días siguientes se suceden procesiones, conciertos y actuaciones musicales, el Certamen Nacional de Bandas de Música Civil “Ciudad de Cullera” y otros espectáculos como vaquillas, la Gran Cabalgata de Disfraces y actos culturales entre otros. Las fiestas patronales de Cullera culminan con la subida procesional de la imagen de la Virgen del Castillo hasta su Santuario, tras la que se dispara un castillo de fuegos artificiales que pone el punto final a la celebración.
