Description

Gandia's university tradition began in 1549 with the launch of the first Jesuit university founded by Francisco de Borja. This tradition was recovered on April 21, 1994, the day on which the first stone of what is now the Escuela Politécnica Superior de Gandia was laid, which began its journey in 1999 and today is characterized by being a center with a marked international and researcher dimension with an offer of 8 degrees and 4 masters. The Gandia Campus, which depends on the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), currently teaches the following degree: Interactive Technologies (unique in Spain); Audiovisual Communication; Telecommunication Systems Engineering, Sound and Image; Environmental Sciences; and Tourism. In recent years, the offer has grown with double degrees in Environmental and Forestry, Business Administration and Tourism and Telecommunications and Audiovisual Communication. In addition to the Bachelor's studies, there are four Master's: Transmedia Communication, Digital Postproduction, Acoustic Engineering and Environmental Assessment and Monitoring of Marine and Coastal Ecosystems. In recent years it has been in the top positions of various rankings that place it as one of the best university centers in Spain and in the world. The Gandia Campus, in addition to the quality of the teaching, stands out for being a welcoming Campus, close to the beach and the port, tourist and economic centers of the city.
