The Cova del Parpalló is one of the most important Upper Palaeolithic caves in the world, where a collection of rock art plaques (+6,000) was found. It is listed as an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC) and is in the process of being declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is a natural shelter formed by the dissolution of the limestone rocks of the Mondúver massif and is located within the Parpalló-Borell Municipal Natural Park, a protected natural area, which covers an area of 560 hectares. The cave was continuously inhabited by humans, it is estimated that between 29,000 BC and 11,000 BC. La Cova del Parpalló es una de las cuevas más importantes del mundo del Paleolítico Superior, en la que se encontró una colección de plaquetas de arte rupestre (+6.000). Está catalogada como Bien de Interés Cultural (BIC) y se encuentra en proceso de ser declarada Patrimonio Mundial por la UNESCO. Se trata de un abrigo natural formado por la disolución de las rocas calcáreas de macizo del Mondúver y se encuentra situada dentro del Paraje Natural Municipal Parpalló-Borell, un espacio natural protegido, que cuenta con una superficie de 560 hectáreas. La cueva contó con presencia humana de forma continua, se estima que hace entre 29.000 a.C. y 11.000 a.C.
