The parish church dates from 1689 and is of Doric order. Prior to the 17th century, the old mosque was used as a temple, next to the demolished castle. Relics of the Holy Crowned Martyr, from Roman times, whose remains were transferred to this parish church in the 17th century.
It maintained its original appearance until 1922 when the facilities were restored and 1995 when the altar was refurbished. Inside, in the area of the main altar, you can visit the image of Santa Catalina next to a colourful reliquary with the remains of San Coronado, transferred in 1793, following the authorisation of Pope Clement.
La iglesia parroquial data de 1689 y es de orden dórico. Con anterioridad al siglo XVII se empleó como templo la antigua mezquita, próxima al derruido castillo. Reliquias del Santo Mártir Coronado, de época romana, cuyos restos se trasladaron a esta parroquia en el siglo XVII.
Mantuvo su apariencia original hasta 1922 cuando se restauraron las instalaciones y 1995 cuando se rehabilitó el altar. En su interior, en la zona del altar mayor, se puede visitar la imagen de Santa Catalina junto a un vistoso relicario con los restos de San Coronado, trasladado en 1793, tras la autorización del Papa Clemente.
