Playa Racó de l'Albir(L' Alfàs del Pi)

One of the most spectacular corners of l'Alfàs del Pi is, without a doubt, its coastline. El racó de l'Albir is located in the bay of Altea, between the foothills of the Serra Gelada and the imposing Ifach rock. From its particular pebble beach you can enjoy one of the most spectacular views of the coast of Alicante. This beach has obtained the Blue Flag distinction for more than thirty consecutive editions.
The beach of l'Albir has a length of 550 m. and its underwater seabed, included in the protected area of the Parc Natural de la Serra Gelada, has a great variety of animal species, as well as an extensive meadow of Posidonia oceanica, a fundamental plant for the marine ecosystem.
the marine ecosystem. Its waters are, therefore, the perfect setting for scuba diving. Other sports that can be practised in l'Albir are windsurfing, water skiing, canoeing and sailing, as well as Thai Chi and Nordic walking.
To enjoy the views of the beach we can walk along the Paseo de las Estrellas, where the artists awarded during the L'Alfàs Film Festival are honoured. At the beginning of the promenade, near the cliffs, we find the impressive sculpture of the anchor, a work by the artist Jorge Castro. In this area, where the tourist office is located, numerous cultural activities are organised in summer as part of the Estiu Festiu programme. The promenade also hosts the Crafts Fair, and for the little ones, there are several children's leisure areas, in addition to the workshops organised at the beach library.

Uno de los rincones más espectaculares de l’Alfàs del Pi es, sin duda, su fachada litoral. El racó de l’Albir está situado en la bahía de Altea, entre las faldas de la Serra Gelada y el imponente peñón de Ifach. Desde su particular playa de cantos rodados se puede disfrutar de una de las vistas más espectaculares de la costa alicantina. Esta playa ha obtenido la distinción Bandera Azul durante más de treinta ediciones consecutivas.
La playa de l’Albir tiene una longitud de 550 m. y sus fondos submarinos, incluidos en el espacio protegido del Parc Natural de la Serra Gelada, poseen una gran variedad de especies animales, además de una extensa pradera de Posidonia oceánica, una planta fundamental para
el ecosistema marino. Sus aguas son, por tanto, el escenario perfecto para practicar submarinismo. Otros deportes que se pueden practicar en l’Albir son windsurf, ski acuático, piragüismo o vela, además del Thai Chi y el nordic walking.
Para disfrutar de las vistas de la playa podemos recorrer el Paseo de las Estrellas, donde se homenajea a las y los artistas premiados durante el Festival de Cine de l’Alfàs. Al principio del paseo, cerca de los acantilados, encontramos la impresionante escultura del ancla, una obra del artista Jorge Castro. En esta zona, donde se ubica la oficina de turismo, en verano se organizan numerosas actividades culturales, dentro de la programación del Estiu Festiu. En el paseo también tiene lugar la Feria de Artesanía, y para los más pequeños, existen varias zonas de ocio infantil, además de los talleres organizados en la biblio-playa.
