Description

In the historic center of Losa del Obispo, specifically in the Plaza Abadía, is the Parish of San Sebastián. This church was created in 1539, after the dismemberment of the Parish of Losa del Obispo from that of Chulilla.

This parish is dedicated to San Sebastian, a Roman martyr of the 3rd century. His body is buried in the catacombs that bear his name in the Appian Way.

Another important tourist resource is the Ermita de la Virgen de los Dolores. It is located on the outskirts of the town in the direction of Chulilla, near the Calvary and in the Loma del Calvario. It dates from the 19th century and is in a good state of preservation.

It is a construction of octagonal plant, it emphasizes its cover by peralted dome with blue tiles and white nerves. Inside we can find the altar where the glazed niche where the beautiful image of the Dolorosa is venerated.

The place that surrounds the hermitage includes the Via Crucis of big and beautiful stations that next to a fountain, benches and tables constitutes a very pleasant environment with beautiful views.
