Description

It was built between 1704 and 1755. It is a temple with a simple façade, bell tower and three naves with side chapels. In 1906 the clock was placed in the bell tower. The façade and bell tower were restored in 1978. In 1994, the altarpiece of the main altar was remade in plaster, similar to the original wooden one that disappeared in 1936. In 1997 the floor was restored and new benches made of Valsaín pine were also installed. The belfry tower has five bells, the smallest of which is located inside the bell tower and dates from before 1936. The second largest was cast in 1970. The third, located in the hole facing the Town Hall, was cast in 1798. The fourth is in the opening facing the Calle Mayor, and has no date of casting, but it is similar to the previous one in size and inscriptions, so it is assumed to be from the same period. Finally, the larger one is installed in the hollow facing the square; it was cast in 1942 and measures 113 cm high with the rings and 114 cm in diameter, with an estimated weight of 835 kg. It has been declared an asset of local importance.
