The Casa Natal de Miguel Hernandez is located at number 73, Calle de Arriba and has now become a cultural center and visitor center, dedicated to the life and work of the poet. It is a typical Orihuela building, with a single floor. It houses family memorabilia and photographs of Miguel and his family. It was acquired by the Orihuela City Council in 1981 and inaugurated after its restoration on March 28, 1985. The poet lived in this house with his parents and siblings from 1914 to 1934. In it he spent his childhood and developed his adolescence among goats and mountains, while discovering the classics of Spanish literature until he left for Madrid. It is located on the slopes of the mountain of San Miguel, next to the College of the Patriarch or College of Santo Domingo where Hernandez studied for some years.
La Casa Natal de Miguel Hernández se encuentra en el número 73 de la calle de Arriba y ahora se ha convertido en un centro cultural y de atención al visitante, dedicado a la vida y a la obra del poeta. Se trata de una construcción típica de Orihuela, de planta única. En ella se conservan recuerdos de la familia y fotografías de Miguel y su familia. Fue adquirida por el Ayuntamiento de Orihuela en 1981 e inaugurada tras su restauración el 28 de marzo 1985. En esta casa vivió el poeta con sus padres y hermanos desde 1914 hasta 1934. En ella pasó su niñez y desarrolló su adolescencia entre cabras y montes, mientras descubría a los clásicos de la literatura española hasta marcharse a Madrid. Se encuentra enclavada en la falda del monte de san Miguel, junto al Colegio del patriarca o Colegio de Santo Domingo donde Hernández estudió durante algunos años.
