Description

During the 1920s in the town of Paiporta there was a brick and tile factory called El Pilar, better known as the Bauset rajolar. The factory worked intermittently for a long period of time under the direction of the Bauset-Olcina family. In 1965 it was rented and became known as Ceràmica Valenciana, until the 1990s, when it was acquired by the Paiporta Town Council and converted into a cultural space. From 5th October 2000 to the present day, the building has been converted into a cultural factory, the Museu de la Rajoleria de Paiporta. With the opening of the museum, the aim is to recover the trade of rajoler and the collective memory of Paiporta and, at the same time, to dynamize the culture of this municipality with all kinds of initiatives.
