Description

It seems that under the site where the church now stands, there was the Andalusian farmhouse that gave rise to the town of La Puebla de Farnals. The present church was built in 1737 and renovated in 1887. The old building (a nave with three bays) and the new one, a further bay of the same nave, can still be seen today.4 Since 1902 it has been an independent parish church. It is worth mentioning several paintings from the 17th and 18th centuries, as well as the Communion chapel, and its bell tower was renovated in 2009.
It has a square bell tower built with masonry and tile, and the top is made with modern materials, where you can find a set of four bells, one dedicated to the Virgin of the Rosary, cast in 1957, the other is called Felisa, dedicated to Sant Feliu Màrtir, recast in 1964. Another one called María Vicenta was also re-cast in 2003 and the largest one is from 1941, with the name of María Josefa.
