It is known that the aqueduct's systems that, since Roman’s time, went over the right bank of river Túria irrigating and supplying the lands surrounding. This hydraulic systems took the water from the place of La Pea, between Vilamarxant and Pedralba, and perhaps drove the water to Valencia, crossing the term of Riba-roja de Túria . Its trail can be followed in numerous stretches, but it is specially, but without doubt, the most noticeable and monumentals stretches of this system are the ones located in Porxino’s ravine.
Es muy conocida la red de acueductos y canales que, desde época romana, recorrieron la margen derecha del río Túria irrigando y abasteciendo las tierras circundantes. Estos sistemas hidráulicos tomaban el agua en el paraje de La Pea, entre Vilamarxant y Pedralba, y la conducían posiblemente hasta Valencia atravesando Riba-roja de Túria. Su rastro se puede seguir en numerosos tramos, pero sin lugar a duda, los tramos más notables de esta red son los que se encuentran situados en el barranco de Porxinos
