In the middle of the orchard of the municipality of Sollana, Valencia, and five kilometers from the main center of this town, there is a monument made with the remains of the now disappeared Trullás Tower, a defensive watchtower of Muslim origin.
Declared of cultural interest by generic declaration, with code 46.21.233-009.1, this monument is reminiscent of the now extinct tower of Trullás, integrating millstones from the tower and ashlars of buildings surrounding the tower, probably from the old village or small nucleus of Trullás.
It is known that it had an annexed building, which could be a barracks or stables. Next to the Trullás Tower, the village of Trullás developed, so called because it was a place of trulls, that is to say, mills.
En plena huerta del término municipal de Sollana, Valencia, y a cinco kilómetros del núcleo principal de mencionada población, se encuentran un monumento realizado con los restos de la ya desaparecida Torre de Trullás, una torre vigía defensiva de origen musulmán.
Declarado bien de interés cultural por declaración genérica, con código 46.21.233-009.1, este monumento recuerda a la ya extinta torre de Trullás, integrándose en él piedras de molino, de la torre y sillares de edificaciones que rodeaban la torre, seguramente del antiguo poblado o pequeño núcleo de Trullás.
Se sabe que tenía una edificación anexa, que pudiera ser un acuartelamiento o caballeriza. Junto a la Torre de Trullás se desarrolló el poblado de Trullás, llamado así por ser lugar de trulls, es decir, de molinos.
